the OZ

Hello mates!! Before we went home for a week break at the end of August, ms. Dil had let us watch another movie in the class (yeay!!)..the movie is called "Australia", sets out during a year before the World War 2 (WWII) hits Australia. Instead of us writing the review of the movie, Miss Dilani had changed the task to write one of the characters in the movie.
For this i would like to elaborate on the leading female character, Lady Sarah Ashley. The word 'lady' had already describes her background as an ariscotcrate Englishman who lives in London. She has a beautiful fair and soft skin, cute and short blonde hair and always wears fine clothes. At the start of the film, she was left alone by his husband in England as her husband, manages a cattle station in Faraway Downs, Australia. Afraid that he may flirt someone else there, she is determine to go there and force her husband to sell the station and back to England. But her plan was suddenly ruined when she found out that her husband was murdered.
As from the point there, we can see that she is responsible women and tough when she inherited the cattle station from her late husband. The station is managed by Mr. Flecther, who is said to be loyal to Sir Ashley. But all that seems to be nonsense when Sarah Ashley met Nullah, a half-aboriginal boy who said that Mr. Flecther as a ‘lie’. Angry with the accusation made by the little boy, Fletcher tried to scold him for opening his mouth. Then Sarah Ashley makes a bold decision to sack Mr. Flecther as the manager of the station. Soon they found out that was untrustworthy at all as he actually works for King Carney and tried to push the cattle into the King Carney’s territorial land. Now, she had a load of burden on her shoulders with no experience or knowledge about the farm or droving before. After that, she seeks help from a drover, together with his assistant, Magarray. Another critical decision that she had made is when she decided to use the Never Never Land to drove the cattle to Darwin, as time is running out if using the normal route which takes a longer time. But the critical part that is the Never Never Land is rarely been used by people as the hot desert does not have any lake for a quite long journey, and those who uses it may end up dead when they lost in desert. But, she also manages to skip past this obstacle with the help of King George, Nullah’s Grandfather who is also a magicman. He knows all the land there and uses song to find the way out safely from the Never Never Land.
Another value that is seen inside her is a devoted and caring person. As the story moves on, the relationship between Lady Ashley and Nullah grows stronger. She met him the first time when he sing to her during the night, although he is a half-aboriginal child, it does not seem to be a problem to her to care about him. The relationship takes another step further when Nullah’s mother was drowned in the water tank. Since that she become more and more devoted to him, as she is Nullah’ mother. It seems so perfect until Nullah was forced to be sent to mission island. Lady Sarah sacrifices Faraway downs to get back him. However, her good intention seems to pay its price when Nullah is slowly lost his aboriginal touch within him. He is no longer ‘invincible’ to dangers and loses his special ability. Later, she accepted the facts that if she loves Nullah so much, she has to let go of him so he can made his own choices and let him follow King George to go walkabout.
All in all, it is an enjoyable movie overall with a touch romance between Lady Sarah and the Drover in a movie filled with intense struggle of power in the ow industry in Australia. From the scale 1 to 10, I can give 7 for the nail-biting climax.

Rich wha???

Nothing much more relaxing than spend my leisure time watching movies. I really do love watch movies so much, from action movies to all the romantic stuffs (minus horror+thriller) i watch with uttermost anxiety..now, my life's getting better as ENL lect, miss Dil gave us the chance to watch selected movies during the class (we love u miss Dil.),in return we have to make a movie review from the movies we watched. So,l ast week we finished watch 'Coach Carter',, another typical basketball movies based on true story that sets out in Richmond,CA.
Ken Carter, a succesful sports equipment seller took responsibility as a coach where he twice became the student athlete for that school during his highschool years. It's an uphill task for him as not just the team lack of teamwork but the players also has a low morale especially giving respect to others. They use a lot of obscene and crude words to others as well as being impolite to the elders. But that's about to change as coach Carter made them to sign a contract agreement before they can join the team, the contract imposes them to maintain a 2.3 CGPA,wear ties and a coat on game day, doing charity works, attend and sit in front row of the class, etc. etc....basically its about making them to behave like professionals.
His harsh treatment in training paid off as the team enjoy unprecedented winning streak as well as maintain undefeated for 16 games, until disaster struck. As the team got carried away with their winning ways, they become arrogant and lose their self-esteem. Their morale slumped and their grades are falling. Determine to make up the lose grounds, Coach Carter take a bold step..locking up the gym and send the boys straight to the library to lift up their grades before hitting the gym once more. This has cause outburst from the boy’s parents, fans and the teachers as well as creating media spotlight for the unusual steps taken. However, the gym-lockup has been lifted after a council agreed to let the kids play after a tense dispute. But that doesn’t let the team down as the boys ignored their fans as they obey Coach Carter’s principle.
They’ve made it to the playoffs only to be beaten by the no.1 in the state by a whisker. However, that doesn’t mean they lost. 6 of the team players got their scholarship and most importantly, abright future ahead of them.
In the movie, as I see it Ken Carter wants to open the kids eye and try to aware them the future they will be when the finish school. He wanted to bring them away from social activities such as teenage pregnancy, abortion, drug trafficking, street thugs and crime that happening in the streets f Richmond. But his call doesn’t seem to be accepted by the older generations who doesn’t really think about the future of the young ones.
To conclude my movie review,,,lets enjoy Timo Cruz’s answer for Carter’s “What is your deepest fear”

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

fOotBaLl CraZeE..!!

ahh,,it's that time again.after a few months of fasting, now epl has started once more with loads of exciting things ahead.

me,of course as a die-hard fan man utd felt a big lost due to departure of CR and tevez,,n i wonder what fergie's new tricks that he can conjure this time around as the transfer season he only bought valencia n obertan...(as usual, small name..high prospect) n injury-prone OWEN(ex-rival player liverFOOLs)..hope they going to win the title again this year.

yet, this year comes with another bang as man city has brougt in star players (adebayor, tevez, barry, santa cruz etc. etc)..i'd think that this year the domination of big four will be tarnish,,hmm, so who's gonna end up below the delights of man city, spurs, villa n everton??(my guess, arsenal)

all in all...i hope it'll we be a wonderful season of total football.
